The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) recently opened a branch lite unit (BLU) in the Municipality of Alegria, Province of Cebu, to become the first commercial bank in the area. Alegria is a 4th class municipality located approximately 116 kilometers south of the provincial capitol, Cebu City. It has an estimated population of 25,000 residents and is home to the first onshore oil field in the country. The DBP Alegria BLU offers a variety of core banking services including loans marketing, deposit and loan applications acceptance.
