Davis-Garcia mega bout officially a done deal after contract signing

Now it’s official.

After only verbally agreeing to a boxing mega clash last November 2022, the Gervonta Davis-Ryan Garcia bout will finally push through as both fighters already signed their respective contracts and agreed to the terms and conditions.

According to multiple sources including ESPN, the Davis-Garcia blockbuster showdown will take center stage on April 22, 2023, in Las Vegas though the specific venue is still in the works.

The full details of the contract are yet to be released but a source close to ESPN already revealed that Davis will only have the right to exercise the rematch clause if ever he loses the fight.

However, Davis’ promotion agency Showtime and broadcast partner PBC, still haven’t reached mutual grounds with DAZN.

Both undefeated fighters will finally settle their beef after throwing shades at each other on Twitter when debates of who is the most promising lightweight young pug circulated all over social media.

Davis, one of the best devastating knockout artists the sport has ever seen, is coming off a dominant technical knockout win against Hector Luis Garcia last January 8.

Despite off-the-ring issues that hounded Davis in the build-up of the fight, the young slugger from Baltimore still kept his focus and protected his 28-fight undefeated winning streak with 26 victories coming via way of knockout.

Meanwhile, Garcia is currently facing ring rust problems after staying away from boxing for almost a year.

His last fight was against Javier Fortuna last July 16, 2022 where he stamped his masterclass again via a knockout victory held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

“I’m so pumped this fight is finally in place I want it more than anything right now. I’ve put in the work, I’m at the prime of my career, and I know I’m going to be the biggest boxer in the world. That legacy starts today,” posted Garcia on his Twitter account.
