The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO) of Iloilo recently conducted a Dalaw Turo at Lambuyao Elementary School and Abilay Elementary School all in Oton, Iloilo.
71 pupils from Lambuayo ES while 145 pupils from Abilay ES, both in Grades 4, 5, and 6, had fun learning about environmental protection and conservation.

Part of the Dalaw-Turo Strategy is the overview of Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 and how to mitigate effects of climate change.
Dalaw Turo program is one of the activities of the Department in terms of Information, Education and Communication Campaign in partnership with the academe and communities to heighten awareness on programs and projects of the agency, as well as to assess them of their roles in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
