The Creamline Cool Smashers unveiled its import for their redemption bid in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.
On Sept. 10, 2025, the Cool Smashers welcomed Courtney Schwan, a 29-year-old outside hitter from Washington, USA, in a social media post via their official Instagram page.
“Super excited kami to share with you mga ka-vibes ang newest addition sa ating GV-kada! Sabay-sabay nating i-welcome si Courtney Schwan, ang gating pinakabagong Pink Volleybelle!” Creamline posted.
Schwan will be replacing Erica Staunton, the last foreign reinforcement who propelled the Cool Smashers to a PVL championship title during the 2024 season.
The heavy-hitting spiker accepted a huge responsibility after Creamline underwent a title drought and failed to win a chip in the last three conferences of the league.
Following its historic PVL Grand Slam feat at the end of 2024, the Cool Smashers ended up with a runner-up finish in the All-Filipino Conference and missed the grand finals stage in the On Tour and the Invitational Conference.
Schwan last rendered her services to the Orlando Valkyries club in the Major League Professional Volleyball in the US.
After finishing her playing years with the Washington Huskies, Schwan received multiple offers overseas and debuted as an import for the Polisportiva Filottrano Pallavolo in Italy.
She transferred to Sigel Marsala, a different club in Italy, then moved to France to play for the Terville Florange club.
From 2022 to 2024, Schwan played for the Aris Thessaloniki in Greece and moved back to Italy to join the Volley Soverato and SMI Roma Volley clubs.
“Welcome Courtney, and we are so excited to see the good vibes you’ll bring in and out of the court!” added Creamline.
