CREAMLINE Cool Smashers powerhouse squad displayed an offensive masterpiece as they dominated against Banko Perlas Spikers, 25-10, 19-25, 25-17, 25-23, to remain undefeated in four games in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League.
Firing from all cylinders, the Cool Smashers had a collective effort from its members, with almost all starters contributing on the offensively. But it was stalwart Alyssa Valdez who broke the opposing defense with her well-placed angles in her spikes, evading the opposing team’s blockers.
With her performance, Valdez tallied 26 big points with 15 digs.
Creamline also got a lift from veteran Michele Gumabao and Jema Galanza, who contributed 12 and 16 points respectively.
Although Banko Perlas got back in the second set, the momentum never stayed in Perlas’ side as Valdez and Risa Sato punished them early in the third set, dismantling their defense as the Smashers’ spikers hit at will.
