Creamline Cool Smashers are back on top of the PVL Open Conference.
The Cool Smashers wrapped up the conference after winning Game 2 in three sets at the expense of defending champion Petro Gazz Angels, 29-27, 25-22, 27-25.
Late game crumbles by Petro Gazz cost them almost all sets, with unforced errors coming their way in unfavorable timings during the clutch.
Creamline star hitters Jema Galanza and Alyssa “The Phenom” Valdez took advantage of the late-game stumbles of the Angels.
The finals MVP went to Best Setter of the Conference Jia Morado who dished out a staggering 24 sets.
Galanza and Valdez scored 16 and 18 respectively, while Kyle Atienza took command of the floor coverage, chalking up 22 excellent digs and 17 receptions.
