Crawford-Spence welterweight unification bout eyed for November

One of the most anticipated fights in boxing is reportedly nearing completion and is targeted to go down this November 2022.

According to American sports writer and boxing insider Dan Rafael, the welterweight unification bout between Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. will be taking place either November 12 or November 19 in Las Vegas.

With negotiations going on for several years now to set up a highly-anticipated battle between the top two welterweight fighters, boxing promoters thought this is the best time to arrange the Crawford-Spence fight.

Spence is coming off a convincing victory to snatch the WBA Super welterweight belt from Yordenis Ugas last April and improved his professional boxing record to 28 wins, no losses, and 22 knockouts.

The boxing superstar currently holds three of the belts in the welterweight division: the WBA super welterweight, and the WBC and IBF championship straps.

Meanwhile, Crawford also dazzled in his last fight against Shawn Porter via a 10^th-round technical knockout victory.

The hard-hitting tactician dropped Porter at the 2:46 mark of their clash after landing a perfectly-timed left hook counter.

After 50 seconds, Crawford scored the second knockdown of the fight when he connected on a three-punch combo that forced Porter’s corner to throw in the white towel.

Spence also expressed his desire in fighting Crawford last July and told boxing reporters that he wants the fight to materialize to bring a treat to the fans.

“I think it’s gonna happen. He wants the fight. I want the fight. It’s going down to negotiations. It’s definitely gonna go down this year,” Spence said.
