ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The acting chief of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) here urged all possible close contact of an alleged youth offender who tested positive for COVID-19 to voluntarily turn themselves in for testing and quarantine.
Dennis Saneo made the call after Santos Manikan refused to reveal the persons he had close contact with after twice he sneaked out of the Roxas City Crisis Center and isolation facility of the city government at Hortus Botanicus in Brgy. Milibili here.
“Wala sya ga kooperar kon pamangkuton sya kun sino kasalamuha nya,” Saneo said.
The CDRRMO only got limited information from Santos’ girlfriend.
The office is looking for a certain “Jan-Jan” who was with Santos before the latter was apprehended at San Roque Street here on May 6, 2021.
Saneo confirmed that Manikan was not able to travel to Pontevedra town after he was collared again at an L300 van terminal in Brgy. Banica here on his second escape try on May 7.
Manikan is now detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Dumalag, Capiz.
