THE Iloilo City government is planning to create sports training centers to enhance the development of young potentials.
Iloilo City sports office development head Rudiver Jungco said he wants to maximize the talent of the new generation when it comes to sports.
In an interview, Jungco said, “the focus is the youth. By creating individual sports centers, proper training for a specific sport will be obtained and the potential would be maximized.”
Part of the plan is to also hire professional trainers for every sports center which will focus on various disciplines.
“We will also hire trainers for each sport, to level up their game and to teach them the right way,” he added.
Jungco also said that during their survey for the locations of the possible sports centers, they found out that three boxing rings are not utilized anymore.
“We’ve found out that there were 3 boxing rings that are not used. We must restore these,” he added.
