Chooks quartet opts out of 3×3 contract, will enter PBA draft

The four pillars of the Philippine 3×3 scene will no longer continue and will leave their legacy to the new batch of Chooks-to-Go ballers.

Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Troy Rike, and Santi Santillan, the PH quartet under the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 national team, decided to opt-out of their contracts that will expire this December and announced their desire to enter the 2021 PBA Draft.

“Thank you Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Troy Rike, and Leonard Santillan for making our country proud over the last two years,” Chooks-to-Go wrote in its thank you message.

After falling short during the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Doha Masters campaign, the quartet lead by Munzon will exit the 3×3 scene as the pioneer batch that put the country on the map after making a strong impression in several international stints.

“We at Chooks-to-Go won’t hinder you from achieving your dreams. Good luck on your next journey! All of you will always be a Manok ng Bayan!” continued the thank you message.

With the decision of joining the 2021 PBA Draft, the national 3×3 players will go back to their 5-on-5 roots where they last played in the 2019 PBA D-league.
