The Choco Mucho Flying Titans’ quest for a playoff push is within reach as they prevailed over Motolite in four tightly contested sets, 19-25,25-21,25-15,28-26, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
After their early slump in the PVL, the young and resilient Choco Mucho team suddenly found their form mid-season, shocking teams to the tune of a four-game winning streak.
Kat Tolentino continued to put on an outstanding offensive display, chipping in 22 attacks, 4 blocks, and an ace.
The veteran Motolite team made it hard for Choco Mucho to clinch each set with their terrific net defense and floor coverage but went short offensively.
Choco Mucho’s Bang Pineda played a masterful game, chalking up 33 excellent digs and 21 excellent receptions that stabilized their floor coverage throughout the game.
Myla Pablo led the Motolite squad with 14 points, while Thang Ponce had a showdown with Pineda, tallying 28 excellent digs and 11 excellent receptions.
