Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) named Norberto P. Mangulbanan, PhD as its new College President.
The CHMSC Board of Trustees, the institution’s highest policy making body, elected Mangulabnan in a special board meeting for the selection of the new president last July 4, 2020.
Mangulabnan, who served as Vice President for Academic Affairs of CHMSC, will replace outgoing President Renato M. Sorolla, PhD, who will be completing his two consecutive terms that spanned for eight years this July 8, 2020.
He also served as director of CHMSC’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation and Executive Assistant from 2013 – 2017. He has been CHMSC’s Vice President for Academic Affairs since May 2017.
Mangulabnan bested other candidates for the CHMSC Presidency namely, Raul C. Alvarez, Jr., PhD, Jay B. Estrellas, PhD, and Andrew Eusebio S. Tan, PhD.
Mangulabnan took his Oath of Office last July 4 and officially started his term on July 9. (Rommel M. Azucena Jr.)
