Led by Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Trenas and Iloilo Integrated Multi-Sectoral Business Organization (IMSBO) President Fanny Uy, the 2019 Iloilo Business Week climaxed in a glitzy tribute dinner for Ilonggo Senator Franklin Drilon at the Jade Ballroom of Grand Xing Imperial Hotel.
Themed “Celebrating the Ilonggo Spirit,” the event also got the full support of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)-Iloilo Chapter, Iloilo Economic Development (ILED) Foundation, Iloilo Business Club Inc. (IBC) and IMSBO officers and members.
Adding glam to the affair was the 35-piece Iloilo Chamber Orchestra that successfully showcased its debut performance.
The short film dubbed “All Eyes on Iloilo,” which was directed by award winning Ilonggo film director TM Malones and written by Tara Illenberger, also premiered during the event.
The event ended with the unveiling of the larger-than-life, hand painted portrait of Sen. Drilon, the magnum opus of Ilonggo artist Kinno Floretino.
