Case vs Medicus dismissed; focus shifts to healthcare services

The Iloilo Regional Trial Court has dismissed a long-standing legal case against Medicus Philippines Inc. and the Medicus Medical Center Corporation (MMC), allowing the healthcare provider to refocus on its mission to deliver top-notch medical services.

Judge Victorino Oliveros Maniba, Jr. of RTC Branch 39, issued the resolution dismissing the case initially filed by the late Dr. Eugene Lim, later substituted by his son.

The case’s dismissal, dated May 16, 2024, has now reached finality, formally ending over two years of litigation.

Medicus said it now focuses its undivided attention on moving forward to serve its clientele and stakeholders.

“The administration and staff of both Medicus Medical Center, and Medicus Philippines Inc. find this as an opportune time to thank everyone for the trust and confidence and the unwavering support of the many,” it said in a statement.
