Police withheld the names of the victim and the 42-year-old suspect, a carpenter, both residents of the village.
Police Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, said the victim and the suspect were drinking with others at 4:15 p.m. when a heated argument broke out.
The suspect allegedly stabbed his uncle with a bladed weapon, causing his immediate death.
The incident was reported to authorities about an hour later.
Polinar said the suspect voluntarily surrendered to barangay officials and was later turned over to police.
