ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Capiz State University (CapSU)– Sapian Satellite Campus will soon reopen in Sapian, Capiz.
Capiz 2nd district Rep. Fredenil Castro assured that this will be happened after incumbent Sapian mayor Arthur John Ike Binas donated a lot for the construction of the state university.
Castro is a member of the CapSU Board of Regents.
According to the congressman, they have already discussed the plan with the CapSU management and the Commission on Higher Education.
Castro stressed the importance of the reopening of the university because it will help a lot of parents.
He said a P40-million budget was allocated for the construction of the administration and academic buildings.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) had been prepared to realize the funds from the Department of Public Works and Highways as the implementing agency of the buildings.
CapSU Sapian campus was closed few years ago after it was found out that the lot where the school was erected has no deed of donation and the owner wanted to take it back.
