Capiz No. 7 most wanted suspect arrested in Pontevedra

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The No. 7 provincial-level most wanted person in Capiz was arrested Saturday afternoon, Aug. 15, in Barangay Malag-it, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Jepoy,” 34, of Barangay Bailan, Pontevedra.
Police said the arrest was made on the strength of a warrant issued Aug. 12, 2026, by a judge of the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 18, in Roxas City.
The suspect faces charges under Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act; Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; and Republic Act 9516 in connection with the alleged illegal possession of explosives.
Republic Act 9516 amended provisions of Presidential Decree 1866 governing the unlawful manufacture, acquisition, disposition, and possession of explosives and incendiary devices.
The court recommended bail of PHP 120,000 for the firearms charge, while no bail was recommended for the drug and explosives charges.
The suspect is in the custody of the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station pending court proceedings and other proper disposition.
Separately, a woman wanted on a qualified theft charge was arrested Saturday afternoon in Panay, Capiz.
The Panay Municipal Police Station served a warrant of arrest against alias Jaja, 22, of Barangay Tanza Sur, Panay.
The warrant was issued Aug. 10, 2026, by Regional Trial Court Judge Sesinio Navales Belen Jr. of Branch 15 in Roxas City.
The court recommended bail of PHP 20,000 for her temporary liberty.
