ROXAS CITY, Capiz— The League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Capiz Chapter on May 4, 2021 condemned the brutal killing of Pilar municipal administrator John Heredia.
In a statement issued by LMP-Capiz president and Mambusao Mayor Leodegario A. Labao Jr., the group said Heredia’s killing was a shock to them.
“I am saddened to hear the loss of life of a person who does have greater views and advocacies in life. I am sending my deepest condolences through prayers to the bereaved family of Mr. Heredia,” Labao said in a statement.
The league also urged the local law enforcement agencies for an intensive investigation and bring the perpetrators behind bars.
Meanwhile, the body of the late Heredia is presently at their house in Barangay Bolo here.
Interment will be announced later, the family said.
The Sanggunian Panlungsod(SP) of Roxas City on Tuesday also passed a resolution expressing grave concern and condemning Heredia’s murder.
The resolution was authored by city councilor Paul Ivan Baticados and unanimously seconded by the majority.
