ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The province of Capiz is 100 percent ready for the May 12, 2025, midterm elections.
The province has 773 clustered precincts with a total of 539,459 registered voters.
According to Atty. Salud Milagros C. Villanueva, Capiz provincial election supervisor of the Commission on Elections, Capiz has 468 voting centers located in its 473 barangays.
The 1st District, composed of Maayon, Panay, Panitan, Pilar, Pontevedra, President Roxas, and Roxas City, has 392 clustered precincts.
Roxas City, the province’s capital, has 137 clustered precincts with 112,738 registered voters.
The 2nd District, composed of Cuartero, Dao, Dumalag, Dumarao, Ivisan, Jamindan, Mambusao, Sapian, Sigma, and Tapaz, has 381 clustered precincts.
Tapaz, the biggest town in the province, has 67 clustered precincts with 37,000 registered voters.
Atty. Rommel G. Benliro, Roxas City elections officer, said the Automated Counting Machines used for the election have already arrived, along with the assigned personnel.
There are 773 Automated Counting Machines on standby, including contingency units as backup in case of emergency.
Eighteen Consolidation and Canvassing System units have also been set up, with three additional contingency units available.
For the deployment of polling personnel, 2,319 teachers, together with Electoral Boards, 468 DepEd supervisors, and 735 DepEd support staff are being readied.
Benliro said logistics needed for the election, including 180 security cameras, 10 transmission hubs, and other paraphernalia, are ready to ensure the integrity and smooth processing of the election.
