Calvin “The Beast” Abueva made lots of progress regarding the final requirements tasked to him by the PBA and the Games and Amusement Board (GAB).
Part of his final requirements before he could go back and play on the PBA hardwood is to attend a three-part webinar series by GAB and to take the mandatory drug test included in his medical certification.
Phoenix Super LPG already confirmed that The Beast has already undergone the drug test and the result has already been forwarded to the PBA office.
Regarding the GAB three-part webinar series, Abueva has already attended two and will need only one to finally complete all of his requirements and wait for the green light for his comeback.
However, Abueva cannot take shortcuts and must adjust to the availability of GAB’s webinars.
“Bale, sumusunod lang kami sa schedule and availability ng GAB,” said Phoenix team manager Paolo Bugia.
If Abueva does finally complete the webinar series, it is all up to PBA commissioner Willie Marcial and the board if they will allow him to suit up for Phoenix in the Clark bubble.
