The jins of the Calinog Taekwondo Association (CTA) impressed and showed their skills in the 2019 National Inter-school Taekwondo Championships held at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Pasay.
Despite the nerves to some youngsters from Calinog who joined for the first time, they still managed to pull it off and compose themselves during game time.
Out of the 7 competitors from Calinog, 5 won and earned medals, dedicated to their gym and to the people who trained them hard every day.
For the grade school boys, Karl ZiovhonBatulayan notched the silver medal among the national competitors who joined.
First-timers in the national tournament, Prince JM Lucero got silver in the Cadet boys novice, Trishley Anne Flores got silver in the Grade school novice, and Gregorio Penalosa also got silver in the Grade school novice.
Joeline Mae Franco, who previously joined in the 2017 Nationals, came back and placed second in the Grade school girls novice.
The coach Louis Paul Nobleza squad is heads up and high hopes in returning to Iloilo with the achievements they nabbed.
