11 jins from CTA Calinog garnered medals in the recently concluded Mayor Jerry P. Treñas holiday taekwondo event.
Coming all the way from Calinog, the prized jins earned the fruits of their labor as they were able to collect 9 gold medals in the tournament.
Alyza Ladines got gold with a tightly-contested bout, 49-48, the same with Marckie Garrido who also got the gold medal finish with a 42-40 victory.
Mighty kid Wyatt Kauffman, who is only 5 years old, notched a silver medal where he faced an 8-year old jin in the championship.
Anton Palmes, Trishley Anne Flores, Joeline Franco, Gio Penalosa, Rezelle Caniel, Shurik Sage, and Dane Celo all bagged the gold medal for Calinog as well while Marl Batulayan got a silver medal.
