The jins from the Calinog Taekwondo Association (CTA) are earning the recognition they deserve bit by bit.
Collecting a total of 18 medals in the recently concluded Mayor Jerry P. Treñas Dinagyang Taekwondo championships, the CTA jins continue to progress and let their small gym in Calinog be widely-known through their skills.
Sage Shurik, Karl Batulayan, Anton Palmes, Carmel Perez, Mark Batulayan, Marckie Garrido, Gregorio Penalosa, Trishley Flores, Kenneth Barrido, and Prince Lucero all garnered gold medals.
Those who delivered silver medals for the CTA were Buen Ortizo, Daneyesha Celo, Joeline Franco, Rezelle Parreno, June Aaron, and Alyza Ladines.
Also, the five-year-old Wyatt Kaufman managed to notch a bronze medal despite going up against much bigger opponents.
