The TNT Tropang 5G is going all-in for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup after bringing in former NBA player Bol Bol as their import, confirmed on Feb. 19, 2026.
After losing in its last two Grand Finals appearances, the Tropang 5G is eager to bounce back and complete the revenge tour by tapping one of the most high-profile reinforcements to ever play in the league’s import-laced conference.
Rumors of Bol suiting up for TNT already surfaced weeks ago, but management tempered expectations when nothing had yet been signed and sealed.
As soon as Bol arrived in the Philippines, everything was pretty much a done deal, with Tropang 5G team manager Jojo Lastimosa escorting the towering center at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
At 7-foot-3, Bol might be the tallest import among all reinforcements in the 2026 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Known for his versatility and ball-handling skills despite his imposing frame, Bol’s addition to the already-talented TNT squad will only present more exciting competition on the playing floor.
Bol became an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2025 after the Phoenix Suns did not re-sign him to another active NBA contract.
He was drafted 44th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft and earned stops in Denver, Orlando, and Phoenix.
Bol’s breakout season was in 2022, when he became a Most Improved Player candidate, averaging 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks for the Magic.
The American-South Sudanese hooper is the son of the late NBA legend Manute Bol, who was listed at 7-foot-6, one of the two tallest players in league history.
Can TNT reclaim its PBA throne with the help of Bol?
