Blue guard charged for illegal gun possession

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police on Monday filed a case for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act) against a 44-year-old security guard.
The case against Jeogine Dasal Berjamin of Barangay Cabugao, Ivisan was filed before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
PSMS Michael De La Rama and PSSg Gerundio Leysa caught Berjamin with an unlicensed gun Friday last week at Barangay Agmalobo, Ivisan.
The suspect was driving a motorcycle around 8:50 pm when police flagged him down and seized a caliber .38 revolver with four live ammunitions in the cylinder and a holster.
Berjamin is presently detained at the Ivisan police station.
