BIR expands Taxpayer Portal access for large taxpayers
By Francis Allan L. Angelo
The Bureau of Internal Revenue expanded its Taxpayer Portal to large taxpayers covered by the Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) Act on Oct. 6, 2026, giving eligible businesses centralized online access to their tax records and transaction information.
For businesses, easier access to filing and payment records could reduce the time spent checking compliance and identifying discrepancies that need correction. The expansion aims to make tax administration more transparent and accessible while supporting timely compliance with obligations that help fund public services.
The BIR said Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 109-2026 formally announced the expanded availability of the portal to taxpayers classified as large under the EOPT Act and Revenue Regulations No. 8-2024.
Under those regulations, large taxpayers are those with gross sales of at least PHP 1 billion in a taxable year.
For classification purposes, gross sales refer to business sales revenue, net of value-added tax when applicable, without other deductions.
The BIR describes the Taxpayer Portal, or TP Portal, as a secure digital platform that brings tax information together in a centralized taxpayer profile.
Eligible taxpayers may enroll to view their registration information and monitor the status of filed tax returns by tax type or form type.
They may also track tax payments and view their Account Ledger by tax type or form type.
The platform provides system-generated notifications and tax reminders to help users monitor their obligations.
Taxpayers seeking enrollment assistance, technical support, or corrections to records displayed in their accounts may coordinate directly with their concerned Revenue District Office.
The expansion follows the portal’s pilot launch for taxpayers registered under the Large Taxpayers Service (LTS) on May 26, 2026, at the BIR National Office in Quezon City.
BIR Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza said the regional rollout fulfills the bureau’s commitment to extend access beyond the initial LTS implementation and make digital services available to large taxpayers nationwide.
He thanked taxpayers for their patience and support while the BIR developed, tested, and fine-tuned the portal for wider use.
“The expansion of the Taxpayer Portal to the regions also aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to make government transactions easier and bring government services closer to the people. We have been working to translate that directive into concrete improvements and better services for our taxpayers,” Commissioner Mendoza said.
The virtual launch brought together representatives of large taxpayers covered by the EOPT Act to learn about the portal’s features and capabilities.
The program included a project overview, a presentation of key features, and audiovisual presentations, followed by a live system walkthrough demonstrating how taxpayers could use the platform.
Mendoza said the portal forms part of the bureau’s broader BIR DARES reform initiatives, alongside the Registration Seal Badge for online businesses, the Electronic Invoicing System, eNotary, and eDST.
The reform program also includes changes to the bureau’s audit and regulatory processes.
Mendoza said the BIR would continue improving services and simplifying procedures as it expands its digital initiatives.
“As you fulfill your responsibilities as taxpayers, we at the BIR must also do our part. The Taxpayer Portal is one part of that commitment. As we expand its reach, we are also working to improve our other services, simplify our processes, and make transacting with the BIR easier for you,” Commissioner Mendoza said.
The bureau said the expanded portal supports its goal of building a more efficient, transparent, and taxpayer-centered administration system, consistent with the EOPT Act and its continuing digital transformation.
