Bacolod nabs most wanted fugitive for killing man, injuring sibling

BACOLOD CITY – After almost five months of hiding, a 40-year-old man wanted for killing a man and injuring his brother was arrested by authorities at his workplace in Barangay Villamonte on Feb. 12.

The accused was identified as alias “Allan,” a resident of Barangay 20, tagged as the top 1 most wanted person in the city.

Personnel of Police Station 4 served an arrest warrant for murder issued by a Regional Trial Court on Feb. 5, 2026, against the suspect.

Police Lt. Conan Gadayan, deputy chief of Police Station 4, said the suspect was allegedly implicated in the gun attack that killed a 43-year-old man and injured his 41-year-old brother in Purok Active, Barangay Mandalagan on Sept. 29, 2025.

The victims were riding a motorcycle on their way home, driven by the younger victim, when they were tailed by the perpetrator.

Gadayan said personal grudges were being eyed as the motive in the incident.

In a media interview, the suspect denied the allegation, saying he does not even know the victims.

He said he was just working as a barker when he was accused of the crime. “Wala ko kabalo sang gina pato-pato nila sa akon. Kabay pa tani ang complainant matudlo nila ang nag himo gid,” the suspect said.
