BACOLOD CITY — A 28-year-old man was arrested in a drug bust that allegedly yielded PHP 476,000 worth of suspected shabu in Purok Burmahiko, Barangay Tangub, on Wednesday.
Police identified the suspect only as Josh, a resident of Barangay 2 in this city.
Authorities recovered 70 grams of suspected shabu and PHP 7,000 in marked money.
In a radio interview, Police Maj. Lyndon Manilla, head of Police Station 8, said the suspect had been monitored for his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in the barangay and nearby areas.
Manilla said police are checking whether the suspect has a previous case for another offense.
The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region said it continues to strengthen its campaign against illegal drugs through intensified law enforcement operations, improved intelligence coordination, and active community partnerships across the region.
