Backrider hit by stray bullet

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 25-year-old motorcycle backrider was hit by a stray bullet during the New Year Day’s celebration in Barangay Nagsulang, Dumarao, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Cloe Develos of Barangay Dacuton, Dumarao.
According to Police Executive Master Sergeant Candelario Calanza, deputy officer of Dumarao police, Mark Lawrence Mateo was driving the motorcycle with Develos as backrider when the latter complained that something hit his back.
When they checked, Develos had a gunshot wound on the back.
The motorcycle driver immediately sought the help from a certain Joel Jodero of said place and they took Develos to the hospital.
Police have yet to determine who was responsible for the incident.
