Association of Philippine Electric Cooperatives (APEC) Party-list Sergio I. Dagooc arrived in Iloilo over the weekend to monitor and offer financial assistance to the Electric Cooperatives (ECs) in Iloilo, Capiz, and Aklan who were greatly affected by Typhoon Ursula.
Rep. Dagooc also check the actual scenario and status of the devastation caused by Ursula which hit Panay and caused damage to areas covered by Iloilo III Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ILECO III), Capiz Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CAPELCO), and Aklan Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AKELCO) last December 26, 2019.

Together with Rep. Dagooc are EC General Managers, Board of Directors, and Staff from ECs in Guimaras and Iloilo.
With the help of linemen coming from different ECs in Visayas and Mindanao, it is expected that the power restoration in severely hit areas will be expedited.

Currently, on-going repairs and clearing operations are undertaken by linemen coming from different ECs commissioned by the Power Restoration Rapid Deployment (PRRD) Task Force headed by APEC. (Photo by GUIMELCO Media Team)
