The future is bright for Philippine Football.
After a solid outing during the Philippines Football League (PFL) bubble edition, a couple of members from the Azkals Development Team (ADT) turned heads and caught the attention of Thailand first division league T1.
After captain Jarvey Gayoso’s commitment to playing in Thailand’s prestigious football league for Muangthong United, ADT defender Mar Diano was also recruited and accepted the international offer.
ADT head coach Scott Cooper confirmed the recent development and stressed that this is a great start for two of the most talented football athletes that will represent the country in the future.
“We have accepted Muangthong’s offer. We feel that it’s a good move because Muangthong is a strong club with a big history,” said Cooper.
Gayoso and Diano are the latest young football stars who will leave the Philippines for Thailand and are hoping to absorb as much experience as they can playing internationally.
“He had a wonderful SEA Games campaign and we feel that this move will only develop his career, help him go from strength to strength and hopefully develop him into an Azkal,” added Cooper.
