Andy Murray returns after 8 months

AFTER suffering a major injury in his hip, former world number one Andy Murray is set to continue his ATP singles career at the Cincinnati Masters.

In an interview with Cincinnati media, Murray stated, “I’m not expecting to move as well as I used to. There is still some improvement to be made, though it will take time.”

The British elite has undergone two major hip operations and claimed that he is feeling great again after months of rehab.

“I’m feeling good, I’ve had 3 of 4 good practice sessions, I have zero pain. I started training singles a few weeks ago, it’s best to train with players at the highest level who hit the ball big.” He added.

Murray will face Richard Gasquet in the opening round of the tournament.

The winner will face world number four Dominic Thiem as early as the second round.
