After two years of heartbreak, Andy Murray is finally back.
With successive injuries to his hip the past two years, Murray once thought of quitting after his body seemed to give up on him.
But now, with a boost of confidence and the right determination, he managed to earn a ticket to the semifinals of the 2019 European Open after defeating Marius Copil, 6-3, 6-7, 6-4.
Flashes of the old Murray left the stadium in awe as the 32-year old threw forehand bombs that bullied Copil in the baseline.
It is not only Murray’s baseline strokes that left the hundreds in attendance in complete astonishment, but his effort to chase the long balls to counter it with a beautiful drop shot was also a play to behold.
Despite being in ranked the lowest in his career at 243, Murray remains determined and unfazed against the tough challenges he faces.
Murray first came back to competitive tennis when he joined the 2018 Wimbledon doubles tournament, after that, he began joining minor tournaments to slowly regaining his conditioning and form.
