San Miguel Beermen star guard Alex Cabagnot became the only player in the PBA with more than 8,000 points, 900 three-pointers, and 3,000 assists.
According to PBA’s chief statistician Fidel Mangonon, Cabagnot also joined the list of PBA greats with at least 8,000 points who are still actively playing in the league.
Cabagnot became the fifth active player to notch such achievement and joins Mark Caguioa, James Yap, Asi Taulava, and SMB teammate Arwind Santos.
“It is an honor to be even in the same sentence as these legends. To God be the glory,” Cabagnot then tweeted after finding out about his recent milestone.
The 37-year-old point guard is currently in his 15th year in the league and is included in SMB’s active roster for the PBA bubble restart.
Despite an opening loss to the Rain or Shine Elastopainters, the seven-time PBA All-Star fired 18 huge points and looks no worse for wear even at the twilight of his career.
