After Alaska’s long-time head coach Alex Compton’s departure from the team, the Aces are also looking to rebuild and recreate their identity.
Recently trading their pieces right after Compton’s departure, the Aces also decided to trade their star shooting guard Simon Enciso in exchange for the hot-shooting Mike DiGregorio of the TNT Katropa.
The trade surprised numerous PBA personalities because Enciso was one of the most efficient producers for the Aces, averaging 10.2 points, 3.8 dimes, and 2.6 rebounds per game.
The guard swap was quickly approved by the PBA committee after a week of request, and it will be large shoes to fill for DiGregorio after his poor TNT stint, only averaging 3.4 points on 26 percent shooting from downtown.
In addition, TNT also shipped their 2023 second-round pick in the package for Enciso.
