Filipino mixed martial artist (MMA) Lito Adiwang made waves in his ONE Fighting Championship flyweight debut after scoring a technical knockout (TKO) victory over Argentina’s Mauro Mastromarini on Nov. 8, 2025, at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
With only eight seconds remaining in the opening round, Adiwang caught Mastromarini with a vicious left hook that sent him to the canvas.
The hard-hitting native of Baguio then pounced on Mastromarini, hitting eight consecutive ground-and-pound punches to officially bag his first win in the 135-pound division.
Adiwang didn’t need any strange and exhausting size-ups to get his feel in the unfamiliar weight class, rocking Mastromarini with a barrage of power hooks to comfortably dictate the pace of the fight.
As soon as the Argentinian fighter felt Adiwang’s power, Mastromarini showed respect, halting his hounding pressure by staying on the back foot.
In the first minute of the fight, Mastromarini was more aggressive, but Adiwang only needed a right hook and a swinging left overhand to turn the tables.
Adiwang’s winning moment was not a fluke, as his duck-down setup for a left hook was his signature move when he was still fighting in the strawweight division.
Mastromarini went flat-out cold in the process, as Adiwang’s eight-strike ground-and-pound put him down on the canvas for almost a minute after the official bell rang.
With the win, Adiwang completed his ONE redemption after falling to Keito Yamakita last Feb. 7 in his last fight as a strawweight.
Adiwang badly wanted the dub against Mastromarini, as his loss to Yamakita had officially ended his three-fight winning streak, which had stood for two years.
