Adamson volleyball sensation Trisha Tubu turns pro after joining PVL

Adamson University’s volleyball rookie superstar Trisha Tubu just made a major leap to the professional rank after deciding to debut in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) this coming conference.

Expected to lead the Lady Falcons to the championship title in the next UAAP season, the star outside hitter surprised everyone when her name appeared in the official lineup of the Farm Fresh Foxies last June 22, 2023.

Tubu then confirmed that she already signed with one of the newest competing franchises in the PVL and will suit up for Farm Fresh once the Invitational Conference kicks off.

According to Tubu, the reason behind why she quickly turned professional is to help her family especially her father who needs a pacemaker due to a stroke.

“Yung desisyun po ay hind tungkol sa akin o kanino man. Para po talaga ito sa tatay ko sa Tarlac. Kailangan niya ng pacemaker dahil naka ilang operation at stroke na siya,” Tubu said.

Tubu quickly grabbed the spotlight despite being a rookie in the UAAP and became a frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award.

She also led the Lady Falcons to a Final Four appearance in the UAAP but fell short against the National University Lady Bulldogs in four sets.

Aside from Tubu, her teammates in Adamson, Kate Santiago, Cae Lazo, and Ckyle Tagsip, will also join Farm Fresh.

Teaming up with Tubu and the rest of the Lady Falcons are Joan Narit, Gayle Pascual, Jade Gentapa, and Mycah Go.
