Active COVID-19 cases in Capiz decrease to 218

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Active cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the province of Capiz has decreased to 218.
Data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) indicated that 148 of them are under home quarantine, 11 are in different temporary treatment and monitoring facilities, and 59 in the hospital.
The data also showed that 11,425 persons have recovered and 512 died.
Meanwhile, vaccination of 5- to 11-year-old children will continue.
Dr. Ramon Alex Nolasco, acting provincial health officer, confirmed that 1,431 children were vaccinated with their first dose against COVID-19.
Nolasco said the dosage for the said age group is lower at 10 micrograms (mcg) compared to 30 mcg for children 12 to 17 years old.
Among the requirement for the child to be vaccinated are:
*Personally accompanied by the guardian;
*With valid lD with picture;
*Wearing face mask and face shield;
*Ballpen and sanitizer;
*Water and snacks;
*Medical certificate if there are comorbidities.
