Aboitiz Power Corporation will redeem its 2018 Series C Bonds worth PHP 2.5 billion ahead of schedule, the company announced.
The Board of Directors approved the early redemption during a special meeting held on September 17, 2025.
Originally set to mature in 10 years, the bonds carried a fixed annual interest rate of 8.5091%.
AboitizPower confirmed that the redemption will take place on October 25, 2025, at a premium price of 102%.
The company said it will use proceeds from its earlier retail bond issuance to fund the transaction.
BDO Unibank, Inc. – Trust and Investments Group, which serves as trustee, and the Philippine Depository and Trust Corporation (PDTC), acting as registrar and paying agent, will facilitate the process.
These entities will issue the necessary notices and calculate the amounts due to bondholders.
The move underscores AboitizPower’s strategic approach to liability management and financial flexibility.
