The heated battle between the 4th and 2nd congressional districts in the 2019 Iloilo School Sports Council (ISSC) Meet elementary football boys’ championship match ended in a 3-0 drubbing win for the former after what seemed to be a slugfest.
Trading solid attempts in the first half, the high-octane game was a delight to see as the young booters sprinted from end to end and tried to score only to be saved by their respective goalkeepers.
The offense-oriented 4th district squad ran every time they had possession, exhausting the mid and corner defenders of the 2nd district.
As the first half was about to end, a shifty move from a 4th district striker sank in, giving them the momentum going into the second half.
The whole second half was a 4th district show as they added two more goals to secure the game.
The 2nd district also attempted to score twice but the 4th district goalkeeper read and stopped their shots.
