Expect a bigger and competitive ball game as 493 football teams across the country compete in the 6th Ceres Cup in Negros Occidental on May 18, 2019.
Considered as one of the biggest football tournaments in the country, the two-day competition will be played simultaneously at the Ceres FC North Field, Sta. Maria Football Field and Carlos Hilado Memorial State College football field – all in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
More or less 10,000 parents and spectators are also expected to join the weekend event.
According to Ceres FC manager Leo Rey Yanson, they envisioned Ceres Cup to provide a football festival which is aimed at giving enthusiasts the opportunity to foster and exhibit sportsmanship in a competitive, safe, and friendly environment.
“Unknowingly, it became an encouragement and promotion of football development in the country making it the most popular in terms of participation aside from being an example of sports tourism,” he added.
The games will be facilitated by Ceres Negros FC club administrator Nicolas Golez and competitions administrator Warren Concepcion.
