Prized athletes from all over Iloilo will once again vie for the top spot as the 2019 Iloilo Schools Sports Council Meet officially begins.
Those who will clinch the gold medal in their respective sport will have the chance to be part of team Iloilo and will represent the province in the upcoming Regional sports meet.
Eight districts will battle it out in the ISSC Meet and will look to clinch podium finishes for the overall championship award.
Athletes from Tigbauan, Guimbal, Oton, San Joaquin, Tubungan, Miagao, and Igbaras will represent the 1st District, while athletes from Alimodian, Leganes, Leon, New Lucena, Pavia, San Miguel, Sta. Barbara, and Zarraga compose the 2nd District team.
3rd District athletes come from Badiangan, Bingawan, Cabatuan, Calinog, Janiuay, Lambunao, Maasin, Mina, and Pototan, while athletes from Anilao, Banate, Barotac Nuevo, Dingle, Dueñas, Dumangas, and San Enrique all play for the 4th District.
For the 5th District, the athletes come from Ajuy, Balasan, Barotac Viejo, Batad, Carles, Concepcion, Estancia, Lemery, San Dionisio, San Rafael, and Sara.
The three other districts are comprised of the Iloilo City Schools, the Iloilo National High School, and the Iloilo PRISAA.
