2 killed in road crashes on New Year’s Eve

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were killed in separate road accidents on New Year’s Eve in Capiz.
An 18-year-old man died two hours before the New Year when his motorcycle crashed into a multicab vehicle at Barangay Anhawon, Panay.
Police identified the victim as Adrian Anoche of Barangay Bahit, Panay.
Investigation by Panay MPS indicated that Arnel Buencuchillo, 29, of Barangay Bato and driver of a Suzuki multicab pick-up, was about to turn right to MN Builders Realty, when he suddenly crashed with Anoche’s motorcycle.
Anoche suffered fatal injuries in different parts of his body. He was immediately taken by the Panay Emergency Response Team to The Health Centrum but he was declared dead on arrival around 11:15 p.m.
Buencuchillo is in police custody.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old student died after his motorcycle accidentally hit a road barrier at Sitio Paglaum, Barangay Gibato in Dumarao town.
Police identified the victim as Diodindo Dumaan of Barangay Agbatuan, Dumarao.
Dumaan was on his way to Barotac, Iloilo on a motorcycle when the mishap occurred.
He succumbed to fatal head injuries at Dao District Hospital.
