1st Mayor Treñas’ tennis Cup highlights 82nd Charter Day

THE 82^nd Charter Day events will now include the 1^st Mayor Jerry Treñas Cup in lawn tennis.

The games will run on August 17-19, 2019 at the La Paz district tennis courts.

With the assistance of the Sports Development Division and Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA), the Mayor’s Cup aims to prepare the Ilonggo youth for the upcoming inter-school clashes.

The Mayor’s Cup takes place a week after the PHILTA-led tournament.

The tourney will have 11 categories: 8 and under (unisex), 10 and under (unisex), 12 and under (boys and girls), 14 and under (boys and girls), 16 and under (boys and girls), 18 and under (boys and girls), 10 and under (unisex doubles), 14 and under (boys and girls doubles), and 18 and under (boys and girls doubles).

HEAD, a world-renowned tennis brand, will officially sponsor the tournament’s balls that will be used for the 3-day competition.
