Attention football enthusiasts! Gather your youngsters!
The first Iloilo Youth Football League (YFL) 7-a-side football tournament will take place on November 9, 2019, held at the Central Philippine University, Iloilo City.
Four age groups will be catered in the event: the Under-9, U-11, U-13, and the U-15, with each age group having a maximum of 8 teams.
The expected teams to join are Jaro FC, Sta. Barbara FC, ACM FC, Assumption, Lapaz FC, Janiuay United FC, Camp Peralta FC, Barotac Nuevo Football United, Don Bosco Victorias, Northstar FC, Calinog FC, and Antique FC.
Mr. Joseph Gensaya of YFL said that the tournament will develop the young football players since it will be them who will be the spotlight of the event.
The 3-year-old YFL was first played in Luzon where Iloilo’s under 15 team won second place in 2018.
