Taekwondo jins from all over Iloilo and Guimaras flocked to the Buenavista, Guimaras, Municipal Covered Gym for the 17th Bonell Regional Taekwondo Championships.
Also known as the 7th Mayor Eugenio G. Reyes Cup, several taekwondo gyms from Panay graced the event and took part in one of the most prized sports events in Guimaras.
Participants came from Buenavista, San Lorenzo, Jordan, Guimaras Baptist Academy, St. Joseph-Hijas De Jesus Guimaras, Buenavista National High School, Hua Siong College of Iloilo, West Visayas State University, Sta. Barbara, and the Mark V. Pinggol gym (MVP).
The tournament catered to different weight classes and went on for one whole day of sportsmanship and entertainment.
Dr. Richard Gabayoyo, the event organizer, expressed his gratitude and happiness toward the success of the event.
