ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 10-year-old Badjao girl miraculously survived after being sideswiped by a Ceres bus Tuesday noon, April 22, at Crossing Bailan in Pontevedra, Capiz.
The girl is now in stable condition at Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH).
According to police reports, the victim was crossing the road when a Ceres bus en route to Roxas City accidentally hit her, causing her head to strike the concrete pavement.
Bystanders rushed her to the nearby Bailan District Hospital, but the attending doctor recommended a transfer to RMPH due to the need for a CT scan.
The bus management has committed to covering all medical expenses.
The bus driver apologized to the victim’s family, stating that the incident was a pure accident.
