BACOLOD City – Police are still probing the killing of a Zumba instructor who was shot by an unidentified person on a motorcycle in Barangay IV, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental yesterday.
The victim was identified as Clint James Tomazar, 30, of Barangay Narauis.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Necerato Sabando Jr., town police chief, said the victim was walking towards a hypermart when the lone gunman tailed him.
The gunman disembarked from his driven motorcycle and shot the victim in the head (at close range), Sabando said.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, but he later passed away.
Police recovered from the scene a .45-caliber ammunition shell.
Sabando said the victim has no criminal record or any involvement in illegal activity.
“Nakuha naming impormasyon, na allegedly marami daw siyang girlfriends,” Sabando said.
But the police could not yet confirm the link of such information to the killing.
“Kuwento pa lang. Hindi pa ma confirm ang motive, undetermined pa dahil ongoing pa ang investigation. Mahirap na mag speculate na wala namang basis,” he added.
