Zambales fugitive arrested in Roxas City manhunt

Police arrested a wanted man from Zambales in a manhunt operation on the afternoon of Dec. 14 in Roxas City, Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as “Dennis,” 29, of Sitio Guinipang, Poblacion South, Sta. Cruz, Zambales.

Officers arrested him at a public transport terminal in Pueblo de Panay in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City.

Members of the Roxas City Police Station, together with the Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station, apprehended Dennis by virtue of a bench warrant of arrest for robbery with violence against or intimidation of persons under Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code.

The case is docketed as Criminal Case No. C-6157.

Judge Vicente Sotto Fernandez Jr. of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court, 3rd Judicial Region, Sta. Cruz-Candelaria, Zambales, issued the warrant on Nov. 20, 2025.

The court recommended bail of PHP 2,000 for his temporary liberty.

Police said Dennis is the No. 10 most wanted person in Zambales.

Lt. Col. Ricardo Jomuad Jr., Roxas City police chief, said the suspect sought refuge with a relative before the warrant was issued.

Jomuad also said Dennis was a witness in a separate case involving the alleged killing of a doctor, her husband’s adopted child and a household helper.

Police records also showed Dennis had previously been accused of motornapping in Pontevedra, Capiz, but the case was settled, authorities said.

Police turned Dennis over to the court for disposition of his case.
