BACOLOD City – Drug charges were filed on Tuesday against a young man for alleged possession of 27 grams of suspected shabu worth P183,600 following a buy-bust operation at Barangay Singcang-Airport here last Monday.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested Reymart Esporas, 20, of Barangay Pahanocoy here.
Police Lieutenant Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said that Esporas is a “newly-identified individual” and at the same time an alleged street-level individual.
Also confiscated from him were the P1,000 marked money, and P100 personal cash.
Mogato said that Esporas was previously arrested for robbery when he was still a minor, but he escaped from a juvenile welfare facility.
He was again arrested in 2020 for a robbery charge.
He was released from jail this year, and is now under probation, Mogato said.
Mogato said that Esporas was allegedly engaging in the illegal drug trade for about a month now.
“May boss ini siya kag amo na ang ga sugo-sugo sa iya,” he added.
